Why is it so important to use a drill chisel? 

1. For the aspect SECURITY. Too long a wick will give off too much heat which can shatter the glass and spill the wax. To avoid unwanted problems, cut your wicks before each use to a length of approximately 0,6 cm from the wax as mentioned on the warnings label.

2. To increase the lifetime and burning your candles. YEAH! As the wicks will give off less heat by being shorter, your wax will melt less quickly!
